Photo Analysis #5 This picture was really interesting to me right away because of the cloth wrapped around the woman’s mouth. At first, it appeared that it was actually her mouth but after looking at it, it was obvious that the open mouth on the woman’s face is drawn on the cloth that is tied around her face. Then I started wondering why the cloth was there in the first place. It makes for a very strikng picrure. The bottom of her face, where the cloth is is where the most light in concentrated, as well as in her hair and the sides of her face, but it all leads to and surrounds the cloth. The mouth that is drawn on the cloth is not proportionate to her face, which makes her look strange and also draws the viewers complete attention to the cloth.  I cannot understand what the words below her mean, but when I looked on the website that I found this picture on, I realized that this is an ad for freedom of speech - particularly in the press, which makes sense.
