Photo Analysis #3
I wasn’t actually sure what this photo was when I first saw it, but the shape if a horse in the air was appealing to me right away. As I looked closer, I realized that this horse is made up of crystals suspended in the air and attached to the ceiling.
The light from the window, as well as from the ceiling above shines on the crystal horse and makes it appear that the crystals are colored, when in fact they are clear. The horse stands out from the tan colored brick, and since it appears to be the only thing in the room, it competely stands out.
I also noticed that the way that the horse is positioned - and the angle that the photogropher took the picture from - makes it seem as though the two hind legs are on the ground and the two front legs are leaping up into the air. This gives the effect of motion. The golden color in the center of the face almost looks like an eye.
I really wonder how this was done, I think it is really and striking and unique and I would love to see it up close.
