Photo Analysis #21 This is one of a series of photographs that makes fun of life in LA. I chose this one because as soon as I saw it I understood exactly what it was saying. It is ridiculous that this woman is lounging around in her small pool when she could be enjoying the much more beautiful, and much bigger ocean right below her. It makes her seem lazy. The little dog at the side of the pool also feeds the stereotype of women in LA. This picture is very bright. The blues of the pool, the ocean and the sky are all a little different. I was drawn to and looked at each of them separately. The white of the pool stands out against the blue and defines the picture. The yellow floating chair that the woman is laying draws attention to her immediately, but she seems so small compared to the rest of the photo.
